SHOULD  I  DROP  AN  YEAR  FOR  NEET??

Dropping one year is not a big deal.

People find their journey so late (consider Boman Irani-Became actor at the age of around 40, Mc Donalds, opened it after his 50!).

So what if you spend 1 more year for your dream college through NEET !!

But if you are dropping multiple years, then you need to be careful. I then recommend joining some college/ course and then one should prepare for NEET with it..

Honestly speaking, it was quite tough at the beginning. I still remember the day when NEET 2019 results were announced, everyone in my family to friends to teachers, all were expecting a good news, but it didn't gone as per the plan. My marks was 428 and an all India rank 62k in UR category. I still can't believe the marks vs rank deviation in NEET 2019.

( After analysing it was clear that because the paper was easy so the cutoff as well as merit levels went high.)

Well everything is very simple but doesn't understand until i failed (180 score) last year .

I take it not casual as boards but think it as hype (over estimated ) the difficulty of NEET so make my book shelf a mini library but the thing goes very worst .

you know what Mentor/teacher/guide plays a very important role in your life they may be your Parents/ teacher or else .

My Bio sir is my guide here and show my mistakes .

  1. More books more confusion - No concept clarity .
  2. Attempt in OMR with half knowledge & sometimes ram bharosey.
  3. Frequent in Social network or with friends (love to travel).
  4. skip some topics (blunder mistake).
  5. No revision.
  6. No test series

& Many more so I decided

Only NCERT + recommended book (not bookS) for all .

No bakwas No faltu chit chat timely MCQ practice , Daily 40 Numericals in Physics which is not a easy task, No skipping of topics, dedicated 14 hours of simple study plan

  • Brunch time

Noon time - light Lunch Chemistry (in dual Mode Like 1–1 chapter of Org & Inorg or Org & Phy i.e focus on Organic .

Evening - Badminton /jogging then revision of Bio + chem (that what is done today)

Late Evening till Night 7 - (11 PM deadline) - light dinner then Physics .

Really fed up within 1 month but here is the role of Mentor to maintain Josh high then aadat si ho gai till march .

then Only revision + 60–80 Total of Allen/Aakash/Bansals till 1st May & I learn Never ever underestimate any silly or hard question & be calm & confident in Exam hall.

Note : last 20 year question papers relevant to that topic are essential with each subject .

There are two types of droppers.

First type of droppers are those who are confident that they are hardworking and can improve their mistakes in next year's drop. Hence, every year they witness increament in their marks. Such type of droppers actually get selected in two or three drop years mostly.

The second type of droppers are those who drop either because of family/soceital pressure or because of “over-confidence”. They know that they are not fully passionate in preparation. They know they lack habit of being regular in studies. Such type of repeaters only waste time by dropping for years after years. Just because of over-confidence, every time they repeat the same mistakes during their preparation. So they fail to achieve success.

So whether it is worth for taking the drop year for NEET or not, depends on the aspirant's ability.

It is worth taking a drop year for NEET if the aspirant is of first type.

Note - This answer does not apply to all the aspirants. This is true only for majority (95%) of the aspirants. There are few aspirants also who get selected even after taking more than 4 years drops and there are few aspirants who get selected in just one year drop. So I am not generalising here.
